Please read our shipping terms carefully before placing your order.
1. Courier & Delivery Methods
All orders are shipped within Switzerland using the Swiss Post (Die Post / La Poste).
Once your package has been handed over to the post office, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking information.
2. Shipping Rates & Timelines
Processing Time: We aim to pack and dispatch orders swiftly to ensure maximum freshness.
Delivery Times: Delivery times depend on the Swiss Post service selected at checkout (e.g., PostPac Priority vs. PostPac Economy).
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your order and your chosen delivery speed.
3. Special Conditions for Frozen & Perishable Goods
We take great care in packaging our perishable products (such as boerewors and specialty meats) using insulated packaging and cooling elements to keep them cold during transit.
Slight Defrosting: Due to transit times and external temperatures, frozen items may arrive slightly defrosted. This is normal and safe, provided the product is still cold to the touch upon arrival.
Customer Responsibility: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive the package on the day of delivery, or that a safe drop-off location is arranged with Swiss Post, so the items can be transferred to a refrigerator or freezer immediately.
4. Transfer of Risk
Crucial Notice: In accordance with Swiss commercial standards, the risk of loss, damage, or spoilage passes completely to the client the exact moment we hand the shipment over to the Swiss Post.
Untamed South Africa is not responsible for postal delays, packages left unattended in the sun/elements after delivery, or incorrect delivery addresses provided by the buyer.
5. Damaged or Incorrect Shipments
If there is an error with the contents of your order (e.g., we packed the wrong item), please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package at info@untamedsouthafrica.com with photos of the items, and we will gladly sort it out for you.
